Not waiting until the new year to start

Having that mindset to do something new and/or daily (aka "project 365") in the new year? While it seems like such a worn-out thing to do, we should do it anyway as it makes us do something rather than nothing! Yet, every year, almost without fail, the "dailies" stop on the first day ... in some settings, the "dailies" fail to start at all! Oh, to learn this after so many years!
Start before the new year
We should take the path of starting a few days before the new year (soon after the yuletide songs have stopped!) Have a few days' worth of "dailies" at the ready, in case the first few days of the year start slow; January 1 and 2 seem to go by like lightning and the will to start might lag at its lowest...
Make it fast and often when we can
As the year progresses past the first week, let us also let ourselves to make many "dailies" in a day when the fresh stuff pops off like a freely-firing gun! Or, like a boat taken well by the winds ... such "bursts" will keep the waters flowing should the following few days run dry (this takes on the same shape of time as starting a few days before the new year!)
Take a break after the "bursts"
So, making "dailies" does not mean having to do them each and every day! On a day that lets us to make many "dailies" for more than one of following days, the "burst day" gives us a break for the next few days!
If we have made a "daily" post on each of the first and second days but end up making something like seven posts on the third, then that gives us until the ninth of the month to drum up a new post for the tenth! The break will make time for better things by striking when the iron has heated up and resting when it has cooled down! :)
