2024 in France (Ax-les-Thermes)

(while waiting for the Celebrity Equinox ship to set sail and on the way to Andorra)

a bus ride to the town of Ax-les-Thermes in the south of France on August 26:

Asides:

• 10 years earlier, on August 26, 2014, I was also in France (although in Paris!)
  • this time around was not even my first time in Southern France, having set foot in Nice, 10 years (and 2 days) earlier
• still my first time in Ax-les-Thermes
  • hot springs let me soak and clean my feet
    • came ready: wore sandals instead of shoes and socks!
• in town for only about 2 hours before departing for Andorra with a short lunch at a French restaurant

not a big "fanboy" of France but have nothing bad to write about my short time in southern France (after 3 days in Catalan-speaking Barcelona, it felt like being in small-town Quebec for a bit!)
