2023 in Bahamas (Great Stirrup Cay)
fun on a small island

the Norwegian Joy ship crossing made its way to the line-run Great Stirrup Cay, an island that makes up a bit of The Bahamas:
- had some great free eats and drinks (all came with the ship fare)
- rested on the beach with enough "beach beds" on which to lie down and spread out
- stepped into the sea with all the fish while the rains came down at one time
"sun + rain + sea"
the ship had, a few months before, swapped this stopover with Costa Maya, Mexico and it had its greatness:
- 🍹 8,000 "sailors" ended up on this island, but never had to wait long for drinks!
- again, the food and drink were free with the ship fare
- 🌦️ everyone (myself as well) had fun at this last stop of the sailing
- when the "sun showers" came down, many (myself as well) went straight into the water
- 🚫💎 no one selling fake shiny stones to "boomers"
"only rest and fun"
had no setup for this leg of the trip:
- no rush to get anywhere
- no one to meet up
- nothing to buy
- only rest and fun before the end of the sailing
trip markers
- 17th "country" (first set foot on in 2016)
- 6th "country in North America"
- 2nd time in The Bahamas
- the 2016 trip went to its mainstay, Nassau
